Jenne Magno

JENNE MAGNO first began to study tango in 1999 with Argentine teachers in Vienna, Austria. ~ Soon after, she made extended travel to Buenos Aires, where she studied with some of the most renowned teachers of the day. ~ Of these she has preferred Claudia Codega and Esteban Moreno for accuracy and precision in the dance, and Mauricio Castro for natural movement, creativity and improvisation.

On her return to Prague, where she still lives, she began to teach, host events, and together with a small group helped to establish the tango scene in that city. ~ Jenne is inspired by the dance as a culture, as metaphor, and considers Argentine tango, at its best, to be a practice of perfect human alchemy. ~ Paramount to her teaching and love of tango are the principles of total absorption in the present moment, maximum engagement with partner and music, and maximum embodiment of oneself as a unique individual in concert with another.
