July 29th and 30th 2006
Part Two of the 2006 Buffalo Tango Festival
Daniel Trenner and Anne-Sophie Ville
Argentine Tango Workshops.
Two Tango Intensives.
One for the Beginner and one for more Experienced Tango dancers.
(Daniel and Anne-Sophie will switch between the classes)
Argentine Tango is the sensual and elegant social dance of the city of Buenos Aires, which is experiencing a world wide revival. ~ Class will include anecdotes about the culture and the history, as well as the steps of tango. ~ We will cover traditional and modern forms.
All dancers will learn lead and follow, so you do not need a partner.
‘Fundamentals’ Intensive (For those who have not yet gone social dancing.)
An approach to learning how to social dance the tango that is efficient and fun. The movements of tango come first, something each dancer learns on their own. ~ All dancers learn to lead and follow which levels the playing field for all participants. ~ Over this foundation one adds layers of poise, elegance and sophistication through the choreography of the traditional steps. ~ Wear leather soled shoes, or bring socks.
